West Coast Park

You came alone when you were born and you will go the same way. We all do. Solitude is not always fun but it should be cultivated and over time doing things on your own becomes second nature. There is no need to feel uncomfortable eating alone, going out alone and doing things without the company of others. With Nature, you are never alone. God sends the flowers, the trees and the little creatures to brighten up your day and being just by yourself is forgotten because of these gifts. This pretty butterfly fluttered around and finally settled at my feet as if it knew that I was wishing for this moment to occur.
Golden Chain tree flowers aging and turning into fruits in a matter of weeks.

The new fruits are green.
Brown and black are the ultimate colours of the fruits.
This Kingfisher was about 200 meters away.

It was captured by my Lumix zoom lens.

Luxury yachts at the end of the tunnel. I gave this path a miss.
Trees as delightful as ever on a cool morning.
A small beach used by local fishermen who anchor their boats here.
Flowers on the crown of the Flame of the Forest tree.
Trees of different shapes.
Dying leaf.
You imagine Soon Wu Kong wielding this fan in the legend of the Monkey God.
Emptiness is happiness.
A Swift resting on a net.

It kept looking back but it was not afraid of me.
What lovely, warm colours this bird has.

Flower of the Chalice Vine (Solandra) that is native to the Carribean, Mexico and South America.

Wilting flowers of the Barringtonia Racemosa.

My siblings have left me and I miss them.
Two is company, three's a crowd.
Careful, one day we will replace you.
We need a third opinion.
Two carpenter bees on the same flower - not a common sighting.
By sheer size they scare away lesser endowed insects.
Yum yum.
Okay, that's enough nectar for me today.
Flower of the Dillenia Philippinensis.
A squirrel running and leaping from branch to branch with agility.

Count the number of toes.

I like this shot best.

Tall Rhu trees. Casuarina trees.
Graceful palms.

Against the light - Thunbergia flowers.

If only I have a view like from the window in my house.
And coffee like this every morning.
