Labrador Park in January 2014

I love going to Labrador Park in Pasir Panjang for my walks because it is by the sea. When the tide is very high, the waves splash over the embankment reaching higher than our heads before crashing down on the promenade. I love it when there is a light breeze making the park seem so alive with tree branches swaying in the wind and cottonball-like clouds float across the sky. On ground level, there are flowers and greenery all around. The trees are tall and majestic and as you walk below their boughs you cannot help but hold them in awe. As I walk, I look out for nature's creatures and admire its greenery, patterns and textures present in the bark of the trees, the leaves and every bit of earth that is covered with plant life. Here's what I saw in January:

A well-formed female spider sitting on its web.
Next to his mangrove swamp is a boardwalk that takes you from the park to Labrador MRT Station.

This part of the boardwalk takes you away from the park towards Harbour Front.

A Rain Tree standing tall spreading its crown like a peacock showing off its feathers.

Morning glory flowers, a delight to behold.

Red Ixoras make walking a joy.

Flowers that I have not seen before.

I may not see them again and even if I do, I may not see the fruits at the same time.

Sieze the moment to observe and admire.
